We have two laptops donated from Nic! they are in various states of not quite working fully though.

Dell Latitude E5520M

This laptop has the following issues:

• Keyboard buttons missing
  • 1, 2, and N
• Right hand hinge is broken away from the lid
• Left hand hinge is snapped
• mounting plates for the lcd are snapped/damaged
• power connector is slightly lose (not much can be done for this...)
• minor damage to casing in places which dont affect function.

There are replacement parts available:

• LCD Brackets $24.39 delivered (£15.50 roughly)
• Hinges £13.97
• Keyboard £11.95

So total cost for repairing this laptop to a decent state will be: £41.42 roughly.

Lenovo G550

This laptop has the follownig issues:

• Keyboard buttons missing (several)
• screen has entire groups of dead pixels

There are replacement parts available:

• Keyboard £11.85
• Screen £38.59

So total cost of fixing this laptop is: £50.44
