We have two laptops donated from Nic! they are in various states of not quite working fully though.
Dell Latitude E5520M
This laptop has the following issues:
- Keyboard buttons missing
- 1, 2, and N
- Right hand hinge is broken away from the lid
- Left hand hinge is snapped
- mounting plates for the lcd are snapped/damaged
- power connector is slightly lose (not much can be done for this...)
- minor damage to casing in places which dont affect function.
There are replacement parts available:
- LCD Brackets $24.39 delivered (£15.50 roughly)
- Hinges £13.97
- Keyboard £11.95
So total cost for repairing this laptop to a decent state will be: £41.42 roughly.
Lenovo G550
This laptop has the follownig issues:
- Keyboard buttons missing (several)
- screen has entire groups of dead pixels
